Freeman Elliott was born in 1922 in Chicago. After his military service in the Navy during the 2nd world war he was hired by the calendar publisher Brown and Bigelow to illustrate cart plays. As the quality was excellent (and the profit earned by the cart plays was considerable), he illustrated as well some calendars for the same publisher. As for Knute Munson , the number of 12-pages calendars is quite limited, which is a shame when we see the results ! ! !
